Bill Evitt was the very first recipient of the AASP Medal for Scientific Excellence and it is truly a testament to the character of this man that his students have seen fit to now add his name to an even smaller roster of recipients of the AASP Medal for Excellence in Education.

From 1974 to 1988 Professor Evitt presented a series of 36 2-week seminars on dinoflagellate morphology and stratigraphy.
