I have only a few words to say today about Al Traverse: we all know he has a book to finish so I’ll keep it brief so he can get back to work.

Alfred Traverse in a way, is Palynology. I don’t mean this in the sense that he possess a waxy, sporopollenin skin or coat, but more so in the sense that he has shaped, sculptured if you will, and defined this discipline that is Palynology, and, especially, Paleopalynology.
